About Wounded Warrior Homes

Our Mission

Wounded Warrior Homes exists to empower veterans to build stable, fulfilling lives after military service. We provide veterans with transitional housing and comprehensive support. This includes mental and physical health services, employment assistance, financial and legal resources, and community engagement opportunities. Striving to promote healing, independence, and successful reintegration into civilian life.

Our Vision

We envision a future in which every veteran has the stability, resources, and community support needed to heal, thrive, and live with purpose after military service. We are committed to continually enriching the quality and breadth of resources available to veterans while fostering a community where every individual feels valued, empowered, and supported throughout their journey.

Operation Mental Health

Wounded Warrior Homes mental health program

At the heart of our mission is the belief that every Veteran deserves the opportunity to lead a fulfilling life after service. We aim to empower Veterans by facilitating access to a comprehensive range of services, including mental health support, physical health programs, job training, legal assistance, and community engagement opportunities. By fostering connections between Veterans and the resources they need, Wounded Warrior Homes strives to create a supportive environment that encourages healing, growth, and successful reintegration into the civilian community.

Womens Veterans Center

A Safe Space to Heal, Grow, and Rebuild

Our Women Veterans Center in Escondido is a transitional home created exclusively for women veterans and their children. This home was thoughtfully designed to provide a safe, stable, and welcoming environment for those navigating life after military service, especially during times of housing instability or personal transition.

More than just a place to stay, the center is a foundation for new beginnings. Residents have access to supportive services, a nurturing community, and a dedicated learning station with computer access to help with job applications, schoolwork, and skill-building.

Here, women can focus on healing, rebuilding, and moving forward with the support they deserve. The Women Veterans Center is where strength is honored and hope is restored.

Mens Transitional Housing

Wounded Warrior Homes stands out with its Transitional Housing program, an effective approach to aiding those who have served with a phenomenal success rate of 95%. Operating in the San Diego area, the program offers direct assistance through three homes, each providing a private room for veterans. The program allows us to provide 2920 nights of housing for veterans facing homelessness in year.

Our write-up

Wounded Warrior Homes is in our directory because we went looking for resources in this category and confirmed theirs is real and serving this community. What you see above is their own description, quoted from their site. We have not yet added our own write-up — the programs, eligibility and military fit that we check ourselves — and we would rather leave that blank than guess at it.

In the meantime, their official site is the authority: www.woundedwarriorhomes.org

For the organization

Are you Wounded Warrior Homes?

This page was written about you, not by you. We built it because the people we serve were already looking for you and deserved a straight answer about what you do. If anything here is wrong, out of date, or puts it badly, we would rather hear it from you than leave it up.

Claiming it gives you an account here and a route to request changes — corrections, new programs, updated events. Those requests are handled by Meridian Tech, our partner, under their subscription service. You are not editing this page yourself, and we would rather say that plainly now than have you find out after you sign up.

“Claim this page” opens a checkout on milconnect.com, where you set up your organization's account. Being listed here is free, and staying listed is free. Meridian Tech — the company that also builds and runs MILCONNECT.AI — provides the account and the update service, and the AI Workspace is their paid product. We are telling you about a commercial relationship before you act on it rather than after, because you are a nonprofit being asked to spend money and you deserve to see the whole shape of it first. If anything on this page is simply wrong, email us and we will fix it for free; that never requires a subscription.

This page is maintained by MILCONNECT.AI and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or authored by Wounded Warrior Homes. It is a directory entry compiled from community recommendations. We do not rate, rank or endorse anything in this directory, and being listed here is not a recommendation — clinical or otherwise. We are not a medical provider and cannot tell you whether a program is right for you. Check eligibility, cost and current status with the organization directly before you rely on it.
