You already ran things that had to work

Most people start a business having never been handed responsibility for an outcome that mattered. You have. The part that's genuinely new isn't leadership, planning, or working a problem with incomplete information — it's the paperwork, the software, and knowing which door to walk through first. BII is the track for that.

Who's behind this: BII is run by Meridian Tech, the same team that builds and operates MILCONNECT. Their incubator services are a paid product. We're telling you that up front so you can weigh this page accordingly — everything in the next section is free, government-funded, and worth doing whether or not you ever talk to us.

Start here — it costs nothing

The free programs you've already earned

Before anyone sells you anything: there is a well-funded federal infrastructure for veteran business owners, and most people who qualify for it never use it. If you do nothing else on this page, do these.

Free training

Boots to Business

SBA's entrepreneurship course, delivered as part of TAP. Open to service members, National Guard and Reserve, and military spouses. Boots to Business Reboot runs the same curriculum for veterans of any era who aren't near an installation.

Free mentoring

Veteran Business Outreach Centers

VBOCs are nationwide and run business plan workshops, concept assessments, and one-on-one mentorship. They're also the lead partner hosting Boots to Business. There is no charge and no obligation.

Free certification

SBA VetCert

Certification as a VOSB or SDVOSB. Certified firms can compete for sole-source and set-aside contracts across the federal government — a lane that non-certified competitors are simply not in.

Why certification is worth the paperwork

A lane your competitors aren't in

Set-aside contracting is the single largest structural advantage available to a veteran-owned business, and it is gated entirely behind a free certification most people never finish.

5%
Government-wide goal

The federal target for contracting dollars awarded to service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses each year.

Rule of two
Mandatory at the VA

If a VA contracting officer reasonably expects two or more offers from certified veteran-owned firms at a fair price, they must restrict the competition to them. Not a goal — a requirement.

Find your starting point

Three places people are when they land here

Still an idea

You've described the business out loud more than once but never written it down.

The gap isn't motivation. It's that the first concrete step is unclear, so nothing gets a start date.

Next move: Start with Boots to Business — it's free, it's structured, and it ends with a written concept instead of a feeling.

Running it on the side

Real customers, real revenue, run out of a notes app and a personal phone number.

Everything that scales the business is admin you're doing manually at 2200 after the kids are down.

Next move: This is where an AI workspace earns its keep — it takes the repeatable parts off your plate before you can afford a hire.

Ready to go after contracts

Established, incorporated, and looking at federal or state set-asides.

Certification is a paperwork exercise with real deadlines, and the software you need to look credible isn't built yet.

Next move: Get SBA-certified first — it's free — then build the platform the contract will actually require.

Meridian AI Workspace

Your business, with an AI workspace behind it

A one-person business and a fifty-person business do most of the same administrative work. The difference is that one of them has staff for it. AI Workspace is the substitute for that staff — a business-aware assistant that runs on your documents and your operating context rather than starting from a blank page every time.

It knows your business

Upload your own documents — pricing sheets, SOPs, past proposals — and answers come back grounded in them, with citations back to the source. The point is that it stops guessing.

Agents and automations

Unlimited agents and automations on a full seat. The repeatable work — intake, follow-ups, recurring reports — runs without you sitting in front of it.

Approval workflows

Nothing goes out unreviewed. A human approves before anything reaches a customer, which is the part most AI tooling skips and most small businesses can't afford to.

Desktop and web

Mac and Windows apps alongside browser access, plus every integration, current and future. Light seats get a daily digest without a full license.

What people actually use it for

  • Draft customer replies in your voice, from approved context
  • Build quotes and estimates against real pricing guidance
  • Turn your offers into a week of marketing copy
  • Pull an owner's brief so you start the day already caught up
$29/user /mo
Full seat

Everything above — unlimited agents and automations, document indexing, approvals, desktop apps, and every integration.

$5/user /mo
Light seat

Read-only with the daily digest. For a partner or a bookkeeper who needs visibility but isn't running the workflows.

Pricing as published in August 2026. This is a snapshot, not a live feed — check the product page for current terms.

Incubation

Don't set it up alone

Software that isn't configured is shelfware. The gap between buying a tool and having it actually run your business is where most small deployments quietly die — usually because nobody had a spare week to load the documents, write the workflows, and decide what gets approved by a human.

That's the part BII does with you. Bring a business, an idea, or a half-finished spreadsheet, and the first conversation is free — Meridian will scope it, price it, and tell you honestly if you don't need them.

01

Free consultation

Pick "New Project / Free Consultation" on the form and describe what you're trying to build. Detailed spec or napkin sketch, both work.

02

Scoped and priced

A straight answer on what it takes and what it costs. New project inquiries get a response within 24 hours.

03

Built and deployed

Concept through deployment and maintenance, with the workspace configured against your real documents rather than a demo dataset.

A note on proof: you're currently using one. MILCONNECT — the tools, the accounts, the document vault, the AI assistant — is a Meridian Tech build. Judge the offer by the thing you're standing in.
