Our Mission
VetsinTech supports our veterans and military spouses with re-integration services, and by connecting them to the technology ecosystem. VIT is committed to bringing together a tech-specific network, resources, and programs for our veterans and military spouses interested in Education, Entrepreneurship, and Employment – the 3E's!
We recognize that veterans bring exceptional value to the technology sector – they are highly skilled, well-trained, team-oriented leaders with strong work ethics and natural problem-solving abilities. Through our comprehensive approach, we help veterans and military spouses transition successfully into meaningful careers in tech while serving as "the bridge" between military service and civilian technology opportunities.
What We Do - The 3E's
VetsinTech delivers comprehensive programs through our three core pillars designed to support veterans and military spouses at every stage of their tech career journey. Our initiatives are built around Education, Entrepreneurship, and Employment - ensuring veterans and military spouses have multiple pathways to success in the technology industry.
Our 3E Framework includes:
Education: Technical training programs covering high-demand skills including web development, cybersecurity, cloud computing, AI/Machine learning, and data analytics. We train over 1,000 veterans annually with a 90% graduation rate through VIT Academy and our comprehensive learning pathways.
Employment: Career services including military skill translation, resume building, interview preparation, and direct connections to our coalition of top technology companies. We've established partnerships with Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Facebook, Adobe, and dozens more, with 91% of our graduates hired or upskilled within 6 months.
Entrepreneurship: Support for veteran-led technology startups through our VIT SUN (Startup Network), VetCap program, pitch competitions, and access to accelerators, VCs, and mentorship.
Our Impact
VetsinTech has grown to a community of over 100,000 veterans and military spouses, supported by over 50 chapter leaders in 27 cities. Our veterans work at leading tech companies from startups to Fortune 500 corporations, serving as software engineers, cybersecurity specialists, data scientists, product managers, and technology leaders.
The success of our community demonstrates the tremendous value that military experience brings to the technology sector. Today's transitioning veterans are tomorrow's CEOs, policy makers, and civic leaders. They are tech-savvy and uniquely positioned to succeed in technology careers, having utilized advanced technologies including drones, robots, cybersecurity, AI, night vision, GPS, and precision strike capabilities during their service.
