Veterans Bridge Home serves North Carolina and South Carolina through dedicated regional teams and a growing network of more than 400 partners.
With the help of our trusted partners and a proven process, we provide holistic, personalized support that addresses the unique needs of each veteran—helping them find stable housing, meaningful employment, access to mental and physical health services, connection to community, and the benefits they’ve earned.
Why We Exist
After the structure and sacrifice of military service, the return to civilian life can feel overwhelming. Many veterans face challenges in reconnecting with their families, finding employment, accessing health care and benefits, and establishing a new sense of purpose and belonging.
Veterans Bridge Home exists to ensure no veteran has to navigate that journey alone.
We serve as a trusted entry point for veterans and their families—supporting them across every stage of transition and reintegration by connecting them to a network of care, community, and opportunity. We work hand-in-hand with federal and local agencies, employers, and nonprofits to ensure veterans are not just supported, but celebrated.

We embrace a holistic view of those we serve, honoring every veteran’s identity, lived experience, and support network. That includes active duty, Reserve, and Guard members, military spouses, caregivers, and Gold and White Star families.

Our Mission is You
Our network of care across North and South Carolina supports veterans, service members, and families with employment, housing, healthcare, financial assistance, finding community, and navigating VA benefits. Last year, we connected 357 out-of-area-veterans with the services they needed.
Not from the Carolinas? That’s okay. We have a “no wrong door” policy, meaning we help everyone—even if they’re not in an area we typically serve.
Our Story
How We Started
Founded in Charlotte in 2011 by Special Forces veteran Tommy Norman, and his wife, Patty, Veterans Bridge Home began as a grassroots effort to support one local veteran in crisis. The act of compassion sparked a movement.
With early support from Charlotte’s business community and a growing network of partners, VBH expanded its mission to ensure no veteran in the Carolinas would be left behind.
