VA Health Care Eligibility Checker
VA places every enrolled veteran in one of 8 priority groups, which shapes what you pay and how soon you get care. See where you're likely to land — then how to apply.
Based on your answersYour income decides
Nothing you checked places you in a group on its own. VA will compare your household income with its limits for your zip code — that puts you in group 5, 7 or 8.
Income could change this. If your household income is below VA's limits you may qualify for group 5; otherwise group 7 or 8, where copays apply. Some group 8 veterans are not eligible to enroll — it depends on when you first enrolled and how far over the limit your income is. Check VA's income limits for your zip code.
An estimate, not a determination. VA assigns your priority group when it processes your application, and puts you in the highest group you qualify for.
